eleventy three

Similar to yesterday's photo, but I liked them both and didn't want to have to choose one over the other :)

Exposure time: 1/50 s
Aperture: f/29.0
ISO: 800

Not sure how I ended up at an ISO of 800. I probably just never changed it from when we took pictures of Lamby!

eleventy two

Yesterday I was feeling quite golden so I decided to try to take some photos during the golden hour. Technically these were taken a bit before the last hour of sunlight, but that is close enough for me.

It is Spring in the Upper Valley!!

110

The aurora sequence has ended and now it is time to move on in life. This photo was actually taken back in March when we had a crazy ice storm. A lot of trees were down because of this one.

So spectacular. Try not to be jealous of my research.

Often the pink lower border is not seen. This aurora was getting quite spectacular. I think this was also the point in the night when I was getting quite tired, and my camera memory card was getting quite full, and my camera battery (the spare after I already changed at one point in the evening) was getting quite low. That being said, tomorrow will be the last aurora photo on the blog. Prepare yourselves.

Exposure time: 2s
Aperture: f/1.8

One Hundred!

It is a big day! This is my hundredth photo on the blog! It is also April 1, which makes it feel like a more special day. So I present you with the one non-aurora photo from the set:

This is a dome outside of the science building at Poker Flat. To the right of the dome is Orion, although it might be hard to tell since the stars that are normally not very visible to the eye are looking quite bright in this photo.

Exposure time: 10s
Aperture: f/1.8
ISO: 1000
